WE WILL TEST OVER THE BASICS OF ASB VIDEOS ON TUESDAY!
1. STN Ethics, Assignment number 1 handed back 2. start filming silent films so we can begin Final Cut. Days 2-5 are reserved for Final Cut basics so we can begin to edit our silent films. By Wednesday we will edit our own silent films Day Two and Three: 5. Silent Film Projects. In groups of 4 or 5, you will complete the silent film projects due Friday for presentation to the class A. They must be no more than ONE minute, 60 seconds long. No more, no less. B. All members of the group must appear in the video C. No special effects, no sound, no talking, no signage may be used in the video D. The story-board must be approved before you film. E. You will film today, edit tomorrow, present Friday. F. You may film anywhere on campus, remember to be QUIET. G. Beginning, middle and end. Clear conflict and resolution. Day Four & Day Five: Edit and Present group 60-second silent films. (First major 50 point grade) Day Five: Sign up for GobTV Staff Auditions and job roles. These will take place Monday and Tuesday. |

Story-Telling Assignments: (150 points)
Each Student will choose a topic/person or group to shoot and edit a complete feature news package that will be 2-3 minutes in length. (whatever is needed to tell the story completely and do an adequate job) Crow will approve your feature topic idea after you present to her.
All footage will be shot including B-roll and interviews, outside of the classroom. This could be at a local business, at a public event, etc., someone's home, depending on the topic the group is assigned.
Students will be responsible for contacting the person regarding their story, setting up interview times and locations, completing interviews, and shooting the needed footage.
This will be a 150-point assignment and all deadlines will be individual based on time-proximity for the topic.
Story-boards will be 1/3 of the grade and until the story-board isn't finished, no student will begin filming.
